Meet Our Trainers
Josh Kober (co-owner)
As Co-Founder of GLIDE TC, Josh is excited to bring over a decade's worth of training, education, and experience to bear on your fitness goals. He has trained over 1000 people since coming back home to San Diego after he earned his B.S. in Exercise Science at CSU, Long Beach. In addition to being a Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM), Josh is also a Running Form and Endurance Coach (RRCA)
Specialties:
Running Form Coaching: Whether you are training for an endurance race, working on improving your speed, or are just an everyday runner, Josh can help you improve your form, speed, biomechanics, and efficiency. He has helped people set personal records, complete their first 5k, half and full marathon, and worked closely with Jaden Rosenthal, who placed 2nd at the 2018 CIF State Finals. By observing your gait, he can prescribe both a strengthening program and a running program that will help you achieve your goals and reduce your risk of injury as a result of weakness, muscle imbalances, overtraining, or improper biomechanics.
Sports Performance: Josh has worked with both Albion SC and Blast SC athletes and continues to work with high school athletes to improve speed, power, and quickness. Athletes competing in soccer, cross-country, volleyball, basketball and field hockey have seen tremendous improvement by developing specific strength and conditioning programs, many of which have gone-on to play at the collegiate level.
Golf: Improve your swing, putting, and overall performance by working on rotational strength, proprioception and mobility. Josh has a love for golf and training to help improve your score or decrease aches and pains associated with playing.
Originally from Delaware, but now a San Diego local, Lisa Co-Founded Glide in 2016. She pushes clients and athletes with energy and her positive attitude. She has extensive background in injury prevention and care as well as nutrition for both weight loss and performance. Lisa is a Certified Personal Trainer and she earned her B.S. in Kinesiology and M.S. in Exercise Science from Point Loma Nazarene University. From her years of competitive soccer to her training for endurance races, Lisa always looks to push herself with new challenges and lead her clients by example.
Specialties:
Pregnancy: In her M.S program at Point Loma Nazarene University, Lisa focused her thesis project on training protocol during pregnancy- managing and relieving pregnancy related pain, safely maintaining activity level and strength, and preparing the body for giving birth with a reduced risk of injury and improved recovery time.
Nutrition: Fueling your body properly is essential for weight loss, strength gains, and sports performance. Lisa specializes in creating individualized meal plans and nutrition guides for clients that are specific to their goals.
Injury Prevention: Lisa worked in the Athletic Training department of Div. I colleges, including St. Joseph's University where she worked with the men's soccer team. Athletes often suffer injury because they do repetitive movements, so cross training, stretching, foam rolling, and manual work are extremely beneficial to their performance and overall health.

Camille Straine (PHYSICAL THERAPIST/PILATES/STRETCHING)
Camille Strain grew up in New Orleans, LA, and spent a decade living on the east coast, receiving a BS in Psychology from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. Following graduation, she became drawn to healing with movement and exercise which led her to pursue graduate school in St. Augustine, FL. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy with high honors at the University of St. Augustine for the Health Sciences. Camille has worked with a variety of patient populations as a travel PT from level 1 trauma care to outpatient orthopedics. As a travel PT, Camille had the privilege of working alongside and learning from seasoned clinicians with over 30 years clinical experience around the United States, including a former Denver Broncos physical therapist, and pilates instructors who have previously worked for Balanced Body. This vast network has been instrumental in her growth as a clinician, which she currently carries over with her Pilates clients. When Camille became a member of Glide upon moving to San Diego, she was immediately drawn to the emphasis on injury prevention, exercise cueing, and progressive resistance training factored into small group setting
Specialties
Pilates: As a PT, Camille felt drawn to the fundamentals of Pilates with its emphasis on form & alignment and connecting that with breath. Wanting to expand her career into the fitness & wellness industry, Camille became a certified Pilates instructor through Niche Pilates Studio in Richmond, VA. She has a passion for teaching clients the difference in exercise when activation of stabilizing muscles is cued and improper biomechanical strain is corrected
Manual Therapy: With her fascination in human anatomy and biomechanics, she continued advanced coursework in myofascial release; spine/lumbopelvic mechanics and manual therapy; and mobilization with movement with Mulligan Manual Therapy Concept, Stanley Paris’ manual therapy courses, and International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine.
Dry Needling: Camille completed her certificate in dry needling from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy in August 2020 and has helped hundreds of clients with pain relief and mobility restrictions using this powerful and effective modality. Once licensed in the state of California, Camille hopes to join lobbying efforts within the California State Board of Physical Therapy for legalization of dry needling practice in the state.
